Employee of the Month September 2019 | Jenny Hale

VRM Employee Spotlight

We think it’s about time that we highlight a very special member of the VRM Family. Jenny Hale has been with VRM for nearly 12 years and was named our most recent Employee of the Year. She is always the first to volunteer and might be the friendliest person you’ll ever meet! We asked her a few questions so you could get to know her. Here’s what she had to say!

1. What’s something many people might not know about you?
I started swimming competitively at the age of three. In the early 1980s, at the ages of 10 and 12, I competed in the Junior Olympics.

2. What’s your proudest moment at VRM?
Being elected Employee of the Year! — such a HUGE honor!

3. What piece of advice would you give your 21 year old self?
Don’t put the keys to your happiness in someone else’s pocket. Figure out who you are and who you want to be, then learn to be kind to yourself and love yourself as you make the journey to get there. You owe yourself the love you give so freely to others.

4. What’s your favorite thing to do outside of work?
I enjoy spending time at the lake — boating, swimming, paddle boarding, and most recently, kayaking. I also have a passion for travel and have been to many foreign countries. I love learning about other cultures.

5. Describe working at VRM in 3 words.
Family, Community, Commitment.

Wow! Thank you for the thoughtful answers Jenny! Doesn’t she seem amazing? Congratulations on your achievement and thank you for all you do for VRM every day. We are lucky to have you.
