James Owen

We are proud to shine the spotlight on James Owen!

With nearly 16 years at VRM Mortgage Services, James Owen, Senior Vendor Analyst in the Vendor Governance department plays a critical role in overseeing a diverse network of brokers, agents, attorneys, mortgage service providers, auction firms, and outsourcing partners supporting the VA portfolio. His work focuses on ensuring strong performance across the network while solving complex challenges through collaboration and creative problem-solving. James is also responsible for sourcing and building a high-performing vendor network that consistently exceeds client expectations.

What he enjoys most about working at VRM is the strong sense of collaboration and positive mindset shared by peers, leadership, and cross-functional partners across Operations, IT, Marketing, Accounting, and Customer Service, as well as daily engagement with vendor partners. Outside of work, James enjoys spending time with family while hiking, backpacking, camping, and kayaking, and is an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers.

Ryan Salaheddine

Meet our Manager of the Quarter, Ryan Salaheddine!

With seven years at VRM Mortgage Services, Ryan Salaheddine serves as Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure Architect within the IT Department, where he is responsible for enterprise infrastructure strategy, security, and operational reliability. In this role, he leads and develops support, technical, and security teams while ensuring ensuring systems remain resilient, secure, and aligned with organizational goals. Ryan believes successful management requires strong leadership, sound judgment, clear communication, and accountability—balancing people development with consistent results. What he appreciates most about working at VRM is the culture of empowerment, trust, and opportunity that has allowed him to grow professionally and take on meaningful challenges. Outside of work, Ryan enjoys soccer and woodworking, both of which keep him hands‑on and help him disconnect. He also has a strong interest in history and different cultures, influences that shape the way he thinks and approaches problem‑solving. Above all, he prioritizes spending quality time with his family.

We are proud to recognize our Manager of the Year, Tara Dugger, whose leadership and dedication continue to make a lasting impact at VRM Mortgage Services. With 15 years at VRM and currently serving as Senior Operations Manager – Sales for the past year and a half, she has built a reputation for fostering collaboration, trust, and strong team performance.

Tara values the opportunity to work alongside knowledgeable colleagues who are supportive, engaged, and always willing to step in and help achieve shared goals. Her leadership philosophy centers on clear communication, leading by example, and ensuring every team member feels heard and supported—creating an environment where accountability and collaboration thrive.

Being named Manager of the Year is especially meaningful to her because it reflects the collective efforts of the entire team and the power of working together toward success. Outside of work, she enjoys mountain biking, skiing, and spending time outdoors with her husband and their two dogs—Meatball the Rottweiler and Penny, the family’s spirited little mutt who happily runs the house.

We are proud to recognize our Employee of the Year, Jeff Mueller, a remarkable team member whose dedication and expertise have made a lasting impact at VRM Mortgage Services. Approaching an incredible 18 years with VRM, he has spent the past 12 years as a Team Lead for Speciality Clients and Alternative Dispositions, where he supports specialty client portfolios and helps facilitate asset management services, auctions, inspections, preservation and maintenance, daily reporting, onboarding new assets, compliance, IT enhancements, and more.

What Jeff values most about working at VRM is the people—from colleagues to customers and vendors—as well as the freedom to innovate, work autonomously, and approach challenges in ways that drive results.

Being named Employee of the Year is especially meaningful to him because it comes from the recognition of his peers, making the honor even more special among such a talented group of professionals. Jeff describes the culture at VRM as a supportive and caring family, where everyone is willing to help one another grow, learn, and pursue new opportunities. Outside of work, he enjoys riding his Harley, flying airplanes, and running long distances.
